When you are in need of advice that will not lead you down the wrong path the best book to turn to is the Bible. One of the places you should turn to within the Bible is the book of Proverbs. The book of Proverbs is a timeless treasure of life advice. Here are some life lessons from Proverbs chapter 10.

Earn money the honest way

If you are able to work then you should work hard and your hard work will be rewarded. Money that you gain in a dishonest manner will not last. Poverty will come to those who willingly choose not to work. Do not waste your time while you are young, use your strength wisely before you get older and things get harder.

I will add one thing, it is important to remember that there must be a balance to how much we work. We must not take things to extremes, there is a time to work but there is also a time to rest.

Doing the right thing is worth it

Doing the right thing will help you live a longer life. God will give you strength to do the right thing even when it is hard such as loving someone who has done wrong to you. It is wise to do the right thing and will save you from a lot of sad days.

God’s way is always the best way

“The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.” Proverbs 10:22 King James Version

Everything that comes from God is good. The gifts that God gives are not always related to wealth because it is not money that makes a person rich. The things that truly make a person rich are health, love and wisdom and joy and all of these things are priceless.

Some extra thoughts
